Barenaked noodles

Barenaked Noodles are coming to Morrisons

Morrisons is to stock the low-carb, gluten-free Barenaked Noodles in its international food aisles – the first supermarket listing for the fledgling brand.

Barenaked Noodles are made using the Asian-grown Konjac plant, which is low in carbohydrates and contains only eight calories per 100g. The brand’s managing director, Ross Mendham, began developing the product in 2011 while looking for an answer to his own weight loss and dietary needs. His big break came when he successfully pitched the product on the BBC’s Dragons Den programme, securing a £60,000 investment from entrepreneur Peter Jones.

“Barenaked Noodles are fantastic for those looking to manage their weight, consumers with restricted diets, such as coeliacs and diabetics, or people simply looking for a tasty alternative to heavier pasta or noodles,” said Mendham.

Barenaked also now offers Protein and Rice versions of its noodles.
