Breaking America is never easy, but Trip has achieved just that by “taking the Yanks on at their own game with a wellbeing brand in a busy marketplace”, our judges said.

The functional drinks brand has enjoyed a breakthrough year in its key export market, delivering a remarkable 1,457% year-on-year growth rate in the US and becoming the largest UK-owned non-alcoholic beverage business in the country.

Founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Olivia Ferdi and Daniel Khoury, Trip has capitalised on growing consumer demand for functional wellness drinks, alcohol alternatives and lower-sugar beverages.

Following the US launch of its Mindful Blend range at the end of 2024, the brand rapidly scaled its presence, securing listings with major retailers including Target, Whole Foods Market, Walmart and Sprouts, while building distribution across every US state.

Judges were particularly impressed by the brand’s ability to combine rapid international expansion with a clear understanding of local consumers. Trip adapted product formats, flavour profiles and messaging for the US market, while investing heavily in digital commerce, community building and celebrity partnerships.

The company also invested heavily in operational infrastructure, establishing US manufacturing capabilities and dedicated east and west coast warehousing to support its expansion.

Innovation was another key driver. New flavours including Wild Strawberry and Cherry Lemon have proved to be hugely successful.

The results have been extraordinary. Trip now sells in 50,000 outlets worldwide, raised $40m of investment during 2025 and achieved a valuation of more than $300m. With revenues having surpassed £65m and a run rate exceeding £90m, the business is forecast to top £130m in 2026.
