New Covent Garden Food Co is serving up seasonal winter warmers in its latest assault on the chilled soup category.
Its four-strong range of Winter Soups (rsp £1.95 for a 600g carton) comprising beef & vegetable, creamy potato & spring onion, lentil & smoked bacon and chicken mulligatawny - will join its other 22 products and monthly specials.

director, said: “The new range of soups, produced with winter in mind, will broaden consumer appeal and help retailers to generate incremental sales from the fixture.”
The company worked with farmer and producer members of the National Association of Farmers’ Markets to create its soup of the month for September, King Edward Potato & Vintage Cheddar, with locally sourced ingredients
Parrott added: “It is a great time of the year for fresh, ripe crops. Using local produce enables us to continue offering excellent quality soup.”
