The Poupart Group has acquired specialist cherry importer and marketer, Norton Folgate.
Poupart chairman Laurence Olins said Norton Folgate would sit comfortably alongside BerryWorld, OrchardWorld and Poupart Citrus, focusing on specific products for major retailers. "Cherries are a great fresh product with plenty of growth potential," he said.
Norton Folgate will remain as a standalone business in Poupart, headed by MD Matt Hancock. The company will continue to operate from offices in Battersea, south London, and through its Spalding distribution depot.
