Asahi Super Big

Japanese lager Asahi has launched a 660ml sharing bottle into the off-trade. The format was previously available only in the Wagamama restaurant chain.

Glen’s hires McFadden

Glen’s has formed a partnership with former Westlife singer Brian McFadden for its premium Platinum vodka. The drink will be promoted through McFadden’s upcoming live shows.

Crystal Head Aurora

Crystal Head Vodka is launching luxury edition Aurora (rsp: £79.99). The vodka is filtered through diamonds and comes in a hand-crafted glass bottle, each of which is different.

Hobgoblin on WooooTube

Hobgoblin is aiming to reach one million social media users with a series of videos that cast a bottle of the ale in versions of classic horror movie Frankenstein, The Fly, The Exorcist and Psycho. Viewers are invited to vote on the fifth video in the series, which will be produced for release on Halloween.

Glenlivet goes peaty

The Glenlivet has launched Nàdurra Peated Whisky Cask Finish, the third in its range of whiskies with specialist cask finishes. The spirit, which has a smoky taste profile due to being aged in barrels that previously held heavily-peated Scotch whisky, is available exclusively in Selfridges at £54.99.

Warner Edwards revamps gin range

Gin brand Warner Edwards, which recently gained listings in Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and Booths, has unveiled a new look across its range of four products: Harrington Dry (rsp: £35), Harrington Sloe (rsp: £30), Harrington Elderflower (rsp: £35), and Victoria’s Rhubarb Gin (rsp: £38).

Westons mulling relaunch

Westons cider has relaunched its Henry Westons Mulled Cider. The 4% abv variant is available in a 2.25-litre bag-in-box pack until January.
