More retailers are recalling Brasserie de Saint-Omer produced beer brands over fears that some of the bottles may contain pieces of glass.

Following on from Sainsbury’s recall of its own label Biere des Moulins and St Cervois Premium lager last week, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi, Asda and The Co-operative Group are all recalling several beer brands produced by the French brewer.

Consumers who have bought the beer are warned not to drink it, and the retailers will give shoppers who return the beers to store a full refund.

The affected products, which are all best-before dates up to and including 22 September 2013, comprise: Bottles of Tesco Bière d’Or 10x25cl, Aldi Brasserie Bière Blonde Lager 8x25cl, Aldi Brasserie French Lager 10x25cl, Aldi Brasserie Shandy 10x25cl, Asda Bière de Luxe 10x250ml, Asda French Lager 10x250ml, Brasserie de Saint-Omer Shandy 10x25cl, Co-op French Premium Lager 8x250ml and 18x250ml, Brasserie de Saint-Omer Lite 24x25cl, Morrisons Brasserie de Saint-Omer Export 8x25cl and 18x250ml, Brasserie de Saint-Omer Panaché 10x25cl and Bière Continentale 10x25cl.

“We have worked with our supplier to fix this problem and are confident that products with a use by date later than 23 September 2013 are unaffected,” said Sainsbury’s.
