Ryvita is making its first move into the chiller with a new lunch pack range.

The packs (rsp: £2.50) contain four Ryvita crispbreads, a plastic knife and one of three toppings: Scottish smoked salmon & cucumber, goats cheese & red pepper or egg mayonnaise & cress. Each one contains between 200 and 220 calories.

The packs, the result of a collaboration between Ryvita and Buckingham Foods, would help broaden the brand’s appeal, said Ryvita innovation head Carol Flint.

“Our lunch packs are perfectly placed to tap into the long-term trend for health in the food-to-go category,” she said.

The range is rolling into Sainsbury’s chillers across the country now.
