USA: Bare Bones Broth

This Rosemary & Lemon Pasture-Raised Chicken Bone Broth is a “consciously-crafted” kitchen staple, according to Bare Bones Souperfoods. It can be warmed and sipped or simmered with meat and veg, and is gluten and soy free ($8.99/7.41).

Czech Republic: Herring Salad with Wasabi

Nautica’s ambient Herring Salad with Wasabi offers consumers a complete meal with a kick. It’s a mixture of the fish, flavoured with spices, and mixed with mayonnaise, apple, onion and wasabi (CZK 17.90/£0.67).

Spain: Cheddar Cheese Beanz

The days of combining beans and cheese on your jacket potato are over as Heinz introduces Cheddar Cheese Beanz (€1.99/£1.74). Half a can is equal to one of your 5 a day with the added bonus of being naturally high in fibre and low in fat.

Netherlands: Beet Soup

Kromkommer Beet Soup is an innovative solution for food waste as it’s made from oddly shaped beets, which are often thrown away. This soup (€3.79/£3.67) is free of added sugars, gluten, lactose and additives. The product retails in a 570ml recyclable pack.

Australia: Korean BBQ & Tuna

This special edition Street Asian Korean BBQ & Tuna from John West presents Pacific wild tuna flavoured with soy sauce, garlic, red pepper paste and chilli (AUD 2.00/£1.21). The dolphin-friendly tuna retails in a 95g pack bearing the MSC logo.

UK: Oatly Vanilla Custard

Further extending its reach in the free-from market, Original Oatly is offering a dairy, lactose and soya-free alternative to traditional custard with its new product – Vanilla Custard. It’s made with oats and retails in a 250ml carton (£1.20).

Brazil: Condensed Milk

Cans may be the format of choice for condensed milk in the UK, but over in Brazil Regina favours the pouch. The newly designed packaging for Regina Condensed Milk retails in a 395g pack (BRL4.55/£1.20).

USA: Roasted Chicken & Wild Rice Soup

This wholesome soup is part of Campbell’s Well Yes! range ($2.99/£2.42). The chicken, as noted on the label, is free of antibiotics and the soup is free from preservatives as well as artificial flavours and colours.

UK: Salmon with Giant Couscous

Targeting the lunchtime market, John West has launched Salmon with Giant Couscous & Lentils with Harissa Spices as part of its Creations range (£2.00). It can be eaten hot and cold, counts towards one of your 5 a day, and combines grains, veg and salmon.

Sweden: Fajita Beanz

Following in the footsteps of the UK, Heinz launched Fajita Beanz in Sweden (SEK 10.95/£1.15). The beans, described as spicy chilli coriander pinto beans with lime, are said to be perfect as a fajita ingredient but can also be enjoyed with rice, chicken and pork dishes.
