An Asda customer has been awarded £500,000 damages after slipping on a mushroom in its Hatfield store in July 1997.
Asda said in a statement: "We are sorry about the circumstances that led to Mrs Jackson's injury.
We have taken every possible measure to ensure that a similar incident doesn't happen again."
The payout was awarded in the Old Bailey yesterday (January 23).
