Asda Handsworth Road, Sheffield

1 Asda's Handsworth Road store won our Top Store award, providing 32 out of 33 items on our shopping list this week. The cheapest Australian red wine was priced at £2.32, reduced from £2.82. However, it was out of stock. Our mystery shopper had to buy another, which was priced at £3.57.

We visited on 28 July 2006 at 8:50. Our shop lasted 75 minutes. Time spent at the checkout was 3 minutes.

tesco South Queensferry, Lothian

1 Our mystery shopper was unable to find any Mach3 Turbo razors at Tesco's South Queensferry store in Lothian, although it was listed and other variants of the Mach3 razors were available. A store assistant told her that the Mach3 Turbo razor may have been withdrawn by the store as a new model had replaced it.

We visited on 28 July 2006 at 12.56. Our shop lasted 55 minutes. Time spent at the checkout was 2 minutes.

sainsbury's Bamber Bridge, Preston

2 Our mystery shopper found that the four-pack of pre-packed baking potatoes was out of stock at the Sainsbury store on Cuerden Way in Bamber Bridge, Preston. The store was also out of own label Brussels pâté. Finally she noted while she was able to get Schweppes tonic water, there was a very limited amount of that item on the shelf.

We visited on 28 July 2006 at 10.46. Our shop lasted 83 minutes. Time spent at the checkout was 3 minutes.

morrisons Oxford Street, Kidderminster

1 This Morrisons store on Oxford Street in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, was out of stock of Mr Kipling's deep filled apple pies six-pack. Our mystery shopper was also told that the store does not sell McCain Smiles and only carries 100g tins of own label tuna chunks in brine.

We visited on 28 July 2006 at 03.30. Our shop lasted 47 minutes. Time spent at the checkout was 2 minutes.

somerfield Highbridge, Somerset

1 The Somerfield in Highbridge, Somerset, was out of stock of the Mach3 Turbo razor. The store also does not stock Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner. Our mystery shopper also noted that Müller Fruit Corner strawberry was on sale at 3 for £1.20 and that the 2-litre Diet Coke, normally £1.43, was on sale at 2 for £2.

waitrose Harbour Road, Portishead

5 Our mystery shopper had trouble filling her shopping basket at this store. The store was out of stock of the four pack of pre-packed baking potatoes, Heinz tomato ketchup, Schweppes tonic water

1-litre, own label diet cola and the Weetabix 24-biscuit pack.

We visited on 28 July 2006 at 12.05. Our shop lasted 40 minutes. Time spent at the checkout was 3 minutes.
