0 The Asda on Gibson Way in Gateshead was large and easy to shop in. However, our mystery shopper was not able to find all the items on his shopping list. The store did not stock the 16-pack of Twix Biscuit, but did have the 25-pack instead. It also offered a 25% extra size of the Philadelphia soft cheese.

Tesco Station Road, Yates, Bristol



1 Our shopper at the Tesco store on Station Road in Yates, Bristol, found its layout difficult to navigate. The store was sold out of red seedless grapes. It also stocked a four-pack of Green Giant Niblets sweetcorn rather than a three-pack, only Anchor Spreadable Light instead of regular, and did not stock the 16-pack of Twix Biscuit.

sainsbury's Stratford Road, Birmingham



1 The Marshall Lake Sainsbury's on Stratford Road in Birmingham had all but one of the products our mystery shopper was looking for. It was sold out of its cheapest Australian red wine, a bottle of Cabernet priced at £2.81. He therefore had to buy a bottle of Australian Merlot for £3.49 instead.

morrisons Alcester, Stratford-upon-Avon



0 Our shopper at the Alcester Road Morrisons in Stratford-upon-Avon was able to find all the items he was looking for. He praised the staff for being extremely helpful and knowledgeable, which helped them to win this week's top store award, their second such victory in the past 18 months.

somerfield Broadfield, Crawley, West Sussex



2 The Broadfield Barton Somerfield store in Crawley, West Sussex, was not able to provide all the items our shopper was looking for. The store was sold out of the 200g Philadelphia soft cheese and the 1kg bag of long-grain rice. It also did not stock Warburton's 800g loaf of white sliced bread or own-label tuba chunks in brine.

waitrose Blaby, Leicestershire



1 Our mystery shopper at the Blaby Waitrose said the store was out of stock of Warburton's 800g loaf of white sliced bread and did not stock own-label toilet cleaner. She also noted that the staff offered her alternatives to the items that were not available.
