Ranks Hovis McDougall has announced the departure of Peter Baker, chief operating officer of its consumer brands division, after more than 28 years with the group.
The move is part of a restructure announced by chief executive Ian McMahon, who took the helm in January. All changes take effect from the beginning of May.
McMahon paid tribute to Baker's commitment to the group over that period.
Patrick Irving and Ginny Knox replace Baker as joint chief operating officers of RHM's consumer brands division.
Irving will continue as managing director of Manor Bakeries and Knox will remain managing director of Centura Foods, which are both RHM subsidiaries. McMahon added that he would expand the board to include three newly created posts. Knox also assumes the title of group marketing director, and the roles of group human resources director and group procurement director have yet to be filled.
