Nestlé Rowntree has launched a better-for-you sweets range and has also upped the fruit juice content in some of its key offerings.

Juicy Jellies, rolling out now, come in four flavours: blackcurrant, strawberry, lime and orange. All variants, packaged in hanging bags, are made from 25% fruit juice (rsp: £1.19).

At the same time, the fruit juice content of Rowntree's Jelly Tots, Fruit Pastilles and Fruit Gums has been increased from 6% to 25% to fit in with the new range.

Coinciding with the changes, Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles has been signed up as the sole sponsor of ITV's new summer entertainment show Britain's Got Talent.

The Grocer recently revealed the company was understood to be introducing healthier sweet ranges under The Real Confectionery Company banner. Nestlé refused to confirm the launch but has registered the trademark in the UK.
