Bargain Booze’s Christmas offering is a pastiche of the Ferrero Rocher ‘ambassador’s reception’ ad, peopled by badly dressed Scotch egg fanatics and given a washed-out filter, tinkly piano soundtrack and bizarre voiceover.

At the ‘party’, guests contemplate their sausagemeat-clad snacks with unnerving intensity, parroting the Ferrero lines in a detached drone. Pleasingly, Bargain Booze is offering a free Scotch egg to its Christmas Eve shoppers - it mentions its alcohol deals only in passing.

It’s completely mad, rather audacious, and - even if you don’t like it - it shows the enduring power of the “you’re really spoiling us” line, 20 years after it was conceived.
