Doing porridge: the new-fangled dish that’s blowing Telegraph readers’ minds

Thanks to the Telegraph, which pointed out this week that ‘pease pudding has fallen off the menu in all but its north-eastern heartlands’, a ‘news’ story it based on an interview with one Poplar café owner, possibly conducted in the late 1950s.

Apparently younger people are no longer keen. Who knew? Oh wait – everyone! Next week: whatever happened to gruel, broxy and saloop? Millennials eh? Tsk.
