Stevens will take over from former sales director Peter Ellis who after four years in the post has been promoted to commercial director for Europe, export and emerging markets.
Managing director Mark Alexander said: “Ellis has done a terrific job for Campbell during a rapid growth period, following the acquisition of Unilever’s culinary brands. During this time, Campbell doubled the size of its portfolio.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Stevens to the team, with his proven track record in developing strong customer relationships, category growth and building business teams.”
Stevens was previously customer director at Kraft Foods. He has more than 20 years experience in sales management, spanning companies such as Masterfoods and Coca-Cola Enterprises.
He said: “The opportunity of working with iconic brands such as Oxo and Campbell’s Soup is very appealing. These brands have a proud tradition and I am looking forward to further building on their appeal.”
