Promising southern hemisphere pack With the tomato pack in the southern hemisphere coming to an end, tonnages are regarded as having been good for the season. Chilean packers have processed 850,000 tonnes for paste and will have 130,000 tonnes for export. Until heavy rain at the start of March, the weather was dry and the quality of the pack was excellent. The country's total pack is about 12% up on last year. In Argentina, the crop has been very good  raw material supplies are up from 204,000 tonnes to 355,000 tonnes. Processing tomato production in Peru remains low at 50,000 tonnes. Thai output also remains very depressed at 150,000 tonnes. {{PROVISIONS }}
