As more and more of us opt to grab food on the hoof, we’re being confronted with an increasingly bewildering array of choice.
Alongside the traditional sarnies and sausage rolls, there is now a vast selection of wraps, prepared salads, sushi and snacks to choose from, not to mention all the microwaveable pots, soups and snacks under the Hot, Quick & Tasty banner, which though not strictly speaking food on the go are increasingly competing with and stealing share from it. And that’s just at lunchtime - many Brits now also eat breakfast on the go, munching anything from breakfast biscuits to porridge pots and breakfast sandwiches.
