Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery has appointed Glenn Caton to handle the marketing of its wine brands in the UK and Western Europe.
He will report to senior marketing director for Europe, Tamara Minick-Scokalo, who joined E & J Gallo last October.
One of the first projects Caton will be involved in will be the relaunch of the company's Winecellars and Turning Leaf portfolios (The Grocer, December 7, p54).
Caton previously worked for Procter & Gamble's European Homecare division, based in Switzerland. He has worked for Procter & Gamble since he graduated, holding posts ranging from customer business development to brand management.
He said: "I am delighted to be joining Ernest & Julio Gallo. I very much look forward to working with the team to further develop and expand the business in Western Europe."
