Westler Foods is adding two lines to its Chesswood canned portfolio.
Vegetable Casablanca combines vegetables and pulses in a Moroccan-style spicy apricot sauce. Vegetable Chilli contains vegetable chunks, beans, spices and peppers in a chilli sauce. Both come in 400g ringpull cans, rsp £1.19. The company is positioning the newcomers - which have 2% fat or less - as healthy options. It claims a Casablanca can provides three of the government’s recommended 5-a-day portions of fruit and veg and the Chilli contains two.
Support will include ads in women’s health titles and instore promotions later in the year.
