A batch of Chicago Town Deep Dish Pepperoni pizzas have been recalled amid fears they could contain small pieces of metal.

Brand owner Dr Oetker said it was taking the action as a precautionary measure following an isolated incident at its production facility.

“The risk is extremely limited and we are able to identify the exact product in question,” said a spokesman for the company.

The effected product is the 2x170g pack with the batch code L1135 and a 15 May 2012 best-before date. All other Chicago Town Pizza products, batch codes and best-before dates are unaffected.
