The company behind Aspall cider has launched a new premium lager into the on-trade.

Suffolk Blonde is a 5.2% abv English lager, which has been on trial at selected Mitchells & Butlers outlets.

It is brewed at Shepherd Neame’s Faversham brewery and will be brought to market by Aspall’s commercial team.

The Suffolk-based cider specialist did not rule out launching the lager into the off-trade.

News of the launch comes after Aspall last month extended its soft drinks debut nationwide after a successful trial of its 100% Pressed English Apple Juice.
