The Manchester Drinks Company has claimed a UK first with a pre-mixed cocktail in a 1.5 litre foil pouch.
The My Cocktail range, which will be rolled into Asda in June under the company's Authentic Cocktail Company brand, comes in Cosmopolitan and Mojito flavours both 10% abv.
Each 1.5 litre pouch (rsp: £13) contains up to 14 cocktail servings, providing "exceptional value for money", said MD Richard Benjamin.
"The unique format allows for fast chilling, easy transportation and pouring, making this range the perfect accompaniment to outdoor parties, barbecues and picnics this summer," he added .
The easy-pour taps already well established in wine maximise shelf life after opening, while shelf space is minimised.
