Unilever is relaunching its Coleman's dry sauces range in a bid to encourage consumers to reconsider using packet sauces when cooking with fresh ingredients.

The move is intended to tap into the popularity of British food with natural packaging, new flavours and improved recipes. The company is also venturing into the gravy sector this August with gravy sachets.

New recipes include: chicken & mushroom pie; steak & ale pie; chicken & mozzarella pasta bake; Hunter's BBQ chicken; and Swedish meatball sauce. The gravy sachets come in a chicken, beef and lamb & mint variants.

"The range will reassure consumers that the products contain no artificial flavours and can transform fresh ingredients into great British meals," said Faye Bradford, category operations manager.

The relaunch will be supported by a £1.5m campaign, including TV ads running from September to November.
