Bargain Booze will give away thousands of free Scotch eggs to customers this Christmas Eve as part of its Christmas ad campaign.

The off-licence chain launched its 30-second Christmas TV advert on Tuesday, featuring a parody of the famous Ferrero Rocher ambassador’s reception ad. In the Bargain Booze version, Scotch eggs are served on silver platters to party guests.

In keeping with the theme of the ad, which will be supported by national radio and digital advertising, the chain said it would give away “thousands” of free scotch eggs with purchases of alcohol in a bid to encourage new and existing customers over the festive period.

“With its stripped-back style of humour and clear message of great booze and great bargains, this new campaign supports our proposition of simplicity and straightforward value,” said Bargain Booze marketing director Adam Burnett.

“We expect it to deliver strong footfall for our franchisees this Christmas.”

Last year, Bargain Booze’s first-ever Christmas TV ad campaign boosted its sales by 9.5%.
