Forecourt retailer MPK Garages has signed up to the Londis fascia.

Up to 28 of MPK's 40 forecourt stores, which are predominantly located in The Midlands and the Yorkshire borders, will be supplied by Londis as part of the three-year deal. The stores were previously supplied by Palmer & Harvey.

The stores will also be redeveloped with a stronger fresh offer and a new beer, wines and spirits section. "A key strategy of our business is to improve the retail offer, so we needed to partner with a strong symbol group or groups," said Paul Kershaw, director of MPK.

Londis sales director Paul Courtney added: "We look forward to building a long-term relationship and developing MPK's forecourt offer over the coming years. This is a great step in continuing to build on the Londis multiple account partnership business."

Londis owner Musgrave Retail Partners GB revealed in January that it planned to recruit about 50 forecourt retailers to the Budgens and Londis fascias in 2010. It recruited 50 retailers in 2009, including Penny Petroleum, Top Spot Services Group, Simon Smith Group and Symonds Group.
