The Big Food Group has appointed Andy Clarke - currently group retail director of Matalan - as managing director of its frozen food chain Iceland.
Clarke will join BFG on April 26 and after a month’s induction will replace Mike Coupe who resigned as MD in January to “pursue interests outside the group”.
Coupe was due to stay on at BFG until September but will now leave the company on May 28.
Clarke has a wide experience of food retailing from previous roles at Asda and Morrisons.
