Tesco has set up a charity recycling scheme for inkjet printer cartridges following the success of its mobile phone recycling initiative. It is making freepost envelopes available at the checkout of all Tesco stores, except Tesco Express. It has taken in 160,000 mobile phones in the nine months since that initiative launched, and says it will potentially collect millions of inkjet cartridges. Tesco corporate social responsibility manager Fiona Mason said: "We are hopeful that our new IJC recycling scheme, the largest of its type, will be even more successful than our mobile phone scheme." Tesco will make a donation of £2 for each recyclable IJC to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. {{NEWS }}
