Tesco has opened a multimillion-pound home delivery distibution centre in North London as it continues to expand its online business.
The 150,000 sq ft facility in Enfield will act as a combined home delivery centre and a logistics hub for Tesco Express stores across the Home Counties and Greater London area.
Its opening comes in the week CEO Philip Clarke said Tesco was determined to ramp up its role as a multi-channel retailer.
Tesco hired logistics provider Gazeley in October last year to take on the contract of building the new centre.
