Richard Samson, the recently appointed chief executive of East of England Co-operative Society, has unveiled the society's new executive management team.

The new society was created following the merger last year of Ipswich and Norwich Co-operative Society and Colchester and East Essex Co-operative Society.

Roger Grosvenor has been appointed group general manager for trading. He was previously retail controller for Ipswich and Norwich. David Cook-Abbott becomes group general manager for property. He was previously in the same role at Colchester and East Essex.

James Day and Maria McGettigan, previously secretary and general manager for personnel services at Colchester and East Essex, are head of corporate affairs and group general manager for human resources.

Meanwhile, Mike Faulkner and Brian Salter, formerly of Ipswich and Norwich, are the secretary and group general manager for finance and technology.?
