Former Sainsbury's non-food trading director Keith Evans is the new CEO of British Retail Consortium Trading. Evans was most recently at DSGi, where he held senior positions including commercial director for Currys.

BP has named Neale Smither as UK supply and marketing manager after bringing together its convenience retail, logistics and fuels business. He replaces Janet Ashdown, who retires after 29 years. BP UK logistics manager Nigel Wardle is also retiring.

Mornflake Oats has appointed Kevin Devine as business account manager and promoted Richard Jones to marketing manager for the Mornflake brand. Devine joins from cereal supplier Bokomo Foods and has more than 25 years' food industry experience. Jones joined Mornflake in 2006 as a business account manager.

Henry Chevallier Guild, partner of Aspall Cyder, is the new chair of the National Association of Cider Makers. He takes up the role on 2 September, replacing Fenella Tyler who has been chair for two years.

Dawn Foods has appointed Kim Tovey as NAM of the fully finished product side of the business. She has worked in the food industry for nearly 20 years and in national accounts since 2002.

Kevin Petrie has been appointed head of purchasing at Nestlé. Petrie is promoted from vice-president and chief purchasing officer of Nestlé USA's business services division and replaces Malcolm Harrison, who has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.

Mark Moran, group finance director of SSL International, has resigned as a non-executive director of property development company Brixton following its takeover by Segro.

Exova Food & Consumer Products has appointed Zoe Nicholls as business development manager. Nicholls joins from RHM Culinary Brands where she was a business unit controller.

Tesco will create more than 800 jobs in Scotland in its latest move towards ­offering a full banking ­service. The recruits will be based at the new Tesco Personal Finance customer sales and service centre in Glasgow.
