Kwik Save MD and Somerfield’s group buying and marketing director Robin Whitbread has resigned with immediate effect.
The Somerfield board has also announced that Katie Bickerstaffe has been appointed group retail director and will take on responsibility for Kwik Save retail operations in addition to her current role as director of Somerfield stores and retail services.
A new buying director will be appointed in the near future. In the interim David Cheyne, group finance director will take responsibility for group buying and marketing and will report directly to chief executive Steve Back.
