Sally Hopson, MD of Asda’s northern division, has switched roles to head the multiple’s eastern division, replacing Mark Blundell, who is moving back to
Asda House to lead the Projects Change Group.
Hopson took up the role in August last year, becoming Asda’s first regional woman MD, after two years as HR director for resourcing, development and reward, driving ‘people policies’.
Hopson is on the Women and Work Commission, set up by the government to review the pay gap between the sexes.
Keith Nesbitt takes over as MD for Asda’s northern division, after being a general store manager in the north east and Scotland.
