The past 12 months have been "business as usual" for Chris Blows, manager of Waitrose's mammoth Food and Home store in Salisbury. However, he has also been busy implementing a number of new company processes to better regulate stock control, boost profitability and reduce wastage in store. "While the changes have been challenging, they have also been exciting and the benefits have been huge," he says. The past year has also heralded the arrival of a number of new non food lines, including white goods, luggage and an extended clothing range."The new products have been enthusiastically received and their presence adds another dimension to what we do," he says.
