Yoplait Dairy Crest has announced that Jean-Christophe Gandon has just joined the company as managing director, replacing Jan Lloyd.
The appointment follows a strategic business review, which has seen the company exit the own label fresh dairy products market to focus entirely on developing its brands.
Gandon’s most recent position was as global marketing director for luxury jeweller De Beers LV, a joint venture with LVMH, which he joined from Procter & Gamble.
At P&G he held senior marketing positions including global marketing director, prestige fragrances, and marketing director Europe, personal cleansing products.
Lloyd will work with Gandon until the end of February. She joined Dairy Crest in 1989 and became MD a decade later.
Drummond Hall, chief executive of Dairy Crest, said: “The last 15 years have seen Jan play an important role in the success of both Dairy Crest and YDC and we are genuinely sorry to see her go. I would like to thank Jan for her contribution and dedication to both businesses during that time and wish her well for the future.”
