UK supplier Freedom Confectionery has created vegetarian marshmallows free from fat, dairy and gelatine.

The vanilla-flavoured marshmallows (rsp: £1.99/75g bag) are the first in a range of flavours that will be introduced. The products have been created following 10 years of research, and are made in Belgium.

“Vegetarian marshmallows are much sought-after,” said Vanessa Brown of the Vegetarian Society.
