Mars has extended its bite-sized chocolate portfolio with a Twix sharing line, supported by a £9m marketing push.

Joining the classic Twix on shelves from the beginning of next month, Twix Mix consists of caramel and biscuit balls covered in milk chocolate (rsp: £2.09/140g) and follows the launch of Mars Mix in April.

The NPD marked the brand’s first bite-sized format and would “reinvigorate the category” by attracting new customers, said Mars.

“As consumers swap their big nights out for big nights in we have witnessed the incredible impact this has had on confectionery, particularly bite-sized products,” said central sales director Nicola Lacey.
