Scottish convenience store chain One O One has partnered with online shopping platform Appy Shop to offer customers home delivery and click & collect groceries.
The new service will be rolled out across the retailer’s 44 stores from August.
The announcement comes as the Glasgow-based retailer struck a deal with Glasgow City Council to provide a priority food delivery service over the next 12 months to 13,000 vulnerable people across the city.
Appy Shop technology will help to deliver this contract, enabling customers to order goods within 30 to 60-minute time slots, or weeks ahead, similar to a supermarket offer.
Customers can order goods through an app or the Appy Shop website.
One O One stores, which are supplied by JW Filshill, have the option to deliver the goods themselves, or have Appy Shop organise delivery through a third-party service.

Appy Shop’s group sales director James Widdowson told The Grocer average basket spend was currently £70, down from a peak of £84 during lockdown.
