One Stop has agreed a new partnership with in-store bakery provider Country Choice for its franchise operators.

Franchisees were expected to be notified by the end of this week of a support package that includes a promotional programme aimed at exploiting One Stop’s systems and tying in with its promotional timetable as well as monthly visits from their Country Choice representative and free top-up training.

Stores will also be given two cases of product for sampling purposes during the launch activity.

Galen Levi, One Stop Franchise’s head of commercial, said in-store bakery was a growing opportunity, with sales growing by 14% in convenience last year and 44% of shoppers expecting a convenience store to have an in-store bakery.

“Whether retailers already offer this or are looking to move into it, our new package with Country Choice will enable our franchisees to develop their bakery and food-to-go offering, with the minimum amount of risk,” he said.
