Payzone sees 2,300 retailer sign-ups in past six months

Payzone has signed up 2,300 independents in the past six months, including independent Budgens, Bestway and Costcutter operators.

Owned by the Post Office since 2018, Payzone now has terminals in 24,000 locations.

The average number of transactions through a Payzone till has more than doubled since January as a result of an agreement to become the exclusive bill payments provider for British Gas.

Payzone said the new contract wins with 2,300 indie retailers also drove footfall into shops.
