Ski yoghurt is to be given a makeover with new-look packaging and on-pack promos to celebrate its 50th birthday.
From this month, Ski packaging will be given a more contemporary look and display a ‘50 Years Young’ flash.
A new website - skidairy.co.uk - will launch in May and shoppers will have the chance to win “birthday money”, details of which are under wraps.
Ski fruit yoghurt was one of the biggest food innovations in the UK food industry when it launched, said Steve Clarke, marketing director at Lactalis Nestlé Chilled Dairy.
“It was the first time fruit had been added to the natural yoghurt and Ski was also the first yoghurt brand to win distribution in UK supermarkets.”
Further “exciting additions” to the line-up were planned, he added.
In April, the brand will introduce Ski Coconut Mousse with Chocolate Sauce (rsp: £1.29 for four 59g pots) to its Mousse range.
Mousse was the fastest-performing sector in Everyday Treats within chilled dairy desserts, with fruit the main driver, [SymphonyIRI Grocery Outlets 52 w/e 1 December 2012].
