Bacardi-Martini is launching a £1.5m campaign for its Eristoff vodka, which it believes will one day take over from Smirnoff as the UK's leading vodka.

The drinks giant is pushing its two Georgian vodka variants Eristoff Original and Eristoff Black (rsp: £12.49), launched in the UK in April, with a cinema advert and a consumer press campaign kicking off later this month.

"The international popularity of Eristoff goes from strength to strength and we want to repeat this here," said marketing controller Mark Holdsworth.
