Winner: Bio&Me
Founded in 2019 by gut health specialist Megan Rossi and ex-Nestlé and P&G commercial lead Jon Walsh, Bio&Me set out to make “claimably good gut health deliciously easy”. Six years on, the brand has built a range of 42 SKUs spanning cereals, yoghurts, drinks and snacks that are available in more than 50,000 stores.
Last year marked a turning point for Bio&Me. It became profitable for the first time, with a quarterly revenue run-rate of £22m and growth of 52% year on year. The brand delivered more than 50 million ‘good for your gut’ portions across the year and became the number one kefir SKU in Sainsbury’s. It also expanded into Costco, with a strong UK launch quickly followed by expansion into Sweden and Iceland, with France in the pipeline, too.
Behind the numbers is a lean team that has grown to 15 employees, with seven more joining in 2026 and not a single resignation along the way.

Judges praised the brand’s ability to scale credibly without losing its scientific foundation. “Their approach to scaling growth across need states that are logical and adjacent, and across multiple channels, stands apart,” said one, pointing to Bio&Me’s strong science-led positioning as gut health has moved into the mainstream.
Others highlighted the breadth of the achievement, from product to marketing to commercial execution, while of course the product itself also won judges over. “It’s a distinctive product with a real functional foundation,” said one. “The growth has been impressive and sustained, with good data behind it. It feels like it has the legs to grow into a major UK brand and beyond.”
With a new Bowel Cancer UK partnership launched this year that brings the Bio&Me story back to its founding inspiration – Rossi’s grandmother – the brand looks well placed to build on the win.
