 Food and drink brands are jumping on the global NFT hype. From multinational giants like Budweiser to local restaurants and cafes, NFTs now seem to be everywhere you look in the food world. For some it’s a simple marketing tool but for others a little more interesting. In one case a coffee subscription service has launched based on solely on the premise NFTs. In another, a drinks brand is selling their first product via NFTs. But why? Are NFTs just a phase or are they here to stay? Could they really make any tangible impact on the industry at large? Or is this new technology simply riddled with risks?
