Vrysaki Halloumi

Bradburys has struck a deal to import Vrysaki Halloumi from Cyprus

Continental cheese specialist Bradburys has struck an exclusive distribution deal with Cypriot Halloumi supplier Vrysaki.

The agreement will give Bradburys access to Vrysaki’s Pallas and Vrysaki Halloumi brands for distribution into UK retail and foodservice.

Vrysaki is one of the biggest Halloumi suppliers from Cyprus so it was “great they were on board” at Bradburys, said Bradbury’s marketing director Chris Chisnall.

“We had some fantastic feedback from customers and consumers at the International Cheese Awards at Nantwich and quickly decided that they were the strategic partners for our business.”

Bradburys already sells some plain and chilli Vrysaki Halloumi into foodservice and retail in the UK but Vrysaki also supplies pepper, basil, light and sliced variants.

Bradburys intends to supply branded Pallas and Vrysaki and own-label Halloumi into the UK in future.

Vrysaki was founded in 1947.
