With value and volume sales sliding (see main story), Müller Dairy is hoping the addition of indulgent dessert-style flavours to its Corner range will add some fizz. Literally. Müller de Luxe Corner Marc de Champagne features a strawberry compôte layer, Marc de Champagne-flavoured yoghurt and biscuits dusted with cocoa. The twin packs will hit Sainsbury’s this week, alongside After Dinner Mint, Coconut Dream and Crème Praline variants. Can yoghurt get more luxurious?


Tims Greek Style Yoghurt with Vanilla

Family-run Tims Dairy is to add a Greek-style yoghurt with vanilla. It has teamed up with top London chef Theodore Kyriakou to create recipes such as raspberry yoghurt and herb-marinated salmon fillets and Greek honey yoghurt ice cream. The latest NPD will be available in Ocado, selected Waitroses, Asda, Budgens and independents.


Ambrosia Devon Dream

Custard brand Ambrosia is tapping into the trend for healthy, fruity desserts with a pour-over sauce. Vanilla-flavoured Devon Dream contains 80% less fat than single cream and is designed to be eaten with fruit and other cold desserts. After its launch in Tesco last month, it will hit Sainsbury’s and Waitrose this week, and Asda on 22 April.


Galaxy Caramel Sundae

Galaxy’s latest offering features twin-pack chocolate desserts topped with a light chocolate mousse. One is swirled with caramel sauce and the other with chocolate, and both are presented in clear pots so the shopper can see what is inside. The sundaes are available now in supermarkets nationwide.
