Hughes Mushrooms has landed a first major retail listing for its new FilledFullOf stuffed mushroom range.
The range, which includes Garlic & Cream Cheese, Goats Cheese & Red Pepper, Leek & Wensleydale, and Spiced Mexican Bean variants, hit shelves in 15 Tescos in Northern Ireland this week (rsp: £2).
The FilledFullOf brand was launched earlier this year and was highly commended in this year’s UK Quality Food Awards 2015. “We have big plans for the range and it is a great start to secure a prestigious contract; allowing us to really showcase the quality and unique flavours of the locally-grown range with customers across Northern Ireland,” said Hughes Mushrooms director Emmet Hughes. Caoimhe Mannion, Tesco Northern Ireland’s Marketing Manager, said the Hughes contract would benefit more than 25 growers in Northern Ireland.
“It’s an exciting partnership, full of potential for future product development. We look forward to seeing what other fantastic flavour combinations are planned.”
