A solid bar of organic sugar cane that can be used as a baking ingredient or unrefined sweetener has been launched by supplier Hasslacher’s.

Panela de Colombia (rsp: £5/500g) is a nutrient-rich organic bar of solid cane sugar that is widely produced and used in Latin America.

Early next year the company plans to launch a 125g version of its drinking chocolate bar. It is aiming for a £2.99 price point, compared with the £5 its 250g bar currently sells for.
