HJ Heinz has added a limited edition Stellar Blue ketchup to its lineup of coloured sauces Stateside.
The global food giant has so far sold the ketchup in red, green, purple, pink, orange and teal and said it would produce 500,000 of the blue bottles retailing for $1.79.
Brand manager of the EZ Squirt product at Heinz North America Michelle Fuscaldo said: “As with all of the Heinz EZ Squirt products, kids played an important role in choosing this colour - which was chosen because it was the most requested condiment colour that Heinz has yet to produce.”
Heinz launched its first coloured ketchup in October 2000 and claims to have sold more than 25 million bottled of the various colours in its EZ Squirt range.
