Lancashire milk processor Holme Farm Dairies has launched a campaign to reassure consumers its milk is 100% locally sourced.

The Love Milk Love Local campaign was launched last week by the sixth Duke of Westminster, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor. "It is fantastic to see a small dairy in Lancashire launching a campaign that has the potential to help dairy farmers across the country," he said.

The company will print the Love Milk Love Local logo on its glass bottles.

"We wanted to reassure local people that they are getting milk from local cows, bottled by a local company and delivered to the doorstep in time for breakfast," said owner of Holme Farm Dairies Jonathan Simpson.

Simpson, who employs 30 milkmen, is calling on milk suppliers throughout the country to follow his lead by adding the logo to their bottles.
